Overview

 

Position Objective
The IIM National Sales Engineering Director is a Management position.  This position is responsible for leading and managing the National Sales Engineering team to meet Enterprise ECM revenue sales goals set for each region. This position manages the people (ECM Sales Engineers) responsible for supporting the ECM Enterprise sales professionals by securing the technical close of the solution.  The ECM Sales Engineer collaborates with Sales, and Professional Services teams to ensure the proposed technical solutions accurately address customer needs. 
The IIM National Sales Engineering Director is responsible for the consistent development of the demonstration or presentation requirements, consistency in solution presentations, and pre-demonstration strategies. He/she will manage work with the team on open opportunities to ensure we are presenting the entire story, from capture to go live, and will ensure the ECM Sales Engineer identifies alternatives and phased approaches, as needed. He/she will identify and craft applications solutions and products to be distributed by the ECM National Director of Sales Enablement to the Sales organization.

Responsibilities

 

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:  

  • Provide national leadership to the Sales Engineering organization.  
  • Responsible for creating and executing programs to educate and train the IIM Sales Engineer team to enhance the Konica Minolta presentation quality. 
  • Responsible for including the Challenger Sales methodology in the creation of his/her programs to include Teach, Tailor, and Take Control.   
  • Responsible for working with the IIM National Director of Sales Enablement with product or application ideas and assist in the material to launch products or applications created within the IIM division.  
  • Responsible to create awareness for all products and services provided by the IIM division. 
  • Assist in the development of marketing collateral for products and applications produced by the IIM division. 
  • Responsible to ensure the IIM Sales Engineer team is scheduled and executing good time management. 
  • Responsible to manage the IIM Sales Engineer team and work with the IIM Regional Sales Directors on resources required for demonstrations. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

Education Requirements

  • Four- year college degree or satisfactory completion of a business curriculum from an accredited school and/ or equivalent work experience 

 

Experience Requirements

  • Seven to ten years of experience in complex sales
  • Seven to ten years of experience in the ECM or a related industry
  • Experience providing solutions relating to business process improvement
  • Experience servicing internal and external customers

Experience working with external vendors/ partners

  • Experience with Solution or Strategic Selling
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong listening skills - ability to understand customers’ needs and equate them to KMBS ECM solutions   
  • Ability to execute within a team structure 
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners and external vendors
  • Strong knowledge of ECM products/services; Kofax Ascent Capture, Hyland OnBase and SharePoint preferred 
  • Preferred knowledge of Business Process Outsource, back-file and day forward scanning
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of CRM tools
