Position Objective

Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for an ECM Engagement Manager!


Jobs and Duties of the ECM Engagement Manager:

  • Architects, develops and administers customized document management solutions for the Konica Minolta customer base.
  • Responsible for determining/ documenting the technical requirements, developing functional specifications and implementing comprehensive “end to end” document capture, scan, store and retrieval solutions.
  • Participates in the document discovery and functional specification processes, in an effort to clearly define the products and professional services labor required, to solve defined business problems.
  • Develops project plans consisting of a work break down structure of tasks as well as manages the pre-production issues and change orders, as required.
  • Designs and implements complex ECM workflow solutions in concert with base system installations.
  • Delivers post production technical support, as required.
  • Develops product demos and prototype systems in concert with Sales.

Essential Job Functions

  • Functions as the trusted advisor and customer liaison as it pertains to documenting project requirements (e.g., Project Profile) and project managing post sales implementations.
  • Manage projects; Develops project plans and the work break down structure of tasks, conducts project status meetings, responsible for escalation and closure of technical issues and provides Sales with upgrade/ incremental new licensing opportunities as it pertains to active engagements.
  • Facilitates Change Orders with the Customer and PSG.
  • Ensures change orders are executed and accounted for in the project management time keeping system (BigTime).
  • Provides support to Sales related to Statement of Work (“SOW”) development, and supports the Solution Development process during the sales cycle.
  • Facilitates technical discovery meetings with contracted customers.
  • Authors the Functional Specification Document and ascertains customer approval.
  • Develops the work break down structure of tasks required to implement and deploy an approved ECM solution.
  • Develops project plans and maintains them in the Case / Project Tracking System.
  • Provide weekly project updates to clients, ensuring client portal and project status reports are accurate.
  • Delivers technical support to contracted customers and tracks time utilization/ problem resolution within the problem management system.
  • Orchestrates moderates and publishes post mortem reviews with the Customer, Sales and PSG (Professional Services Group).
  • Synthesizes the results and provides management with a SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat) analysis.
  • Provides backup to Solutions Architect and System Engineer roles, as needed.
  • Adheres to Konica Minolta's Professional Services project management methodology while satisfying/ exceeds predefined service delivery metrics.
  • Communicates regularly with Konica Minolta/ECM Administration to ensure product and licensing procurement/ delivery are in alignment with approved SOW’s and associated project plans.
  • Maintains an electronic library of project/ sales documentation within the Konica Minolta DMS solution.
  • Collaborates with the Solution Architects to determine work schedules and calendar their tasks on the DMS Web Calendar.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of SharePoint - Preferred

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

  • Four year college degree or satisfactory completion of a technical curriculum from an accredited computer school and/ or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years or greater experience implementing ECM solutions (OnBase and Kofax– highly desired).
  • Three years or greater industry experience – Project Management.
  • Desired Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing/ implementing medium to high complexity projects.
  • Microsoft MCP Certification.
  • Required Microsoft MCSE.
  • Preferred CDIA+ Certification.
  • Required ECMs Certification.
  • Required BPMp Certification.
  • Required PMI Certification.
  • Desired Hyland OnBase and/or FileBound Certification(s).
  • Hyland OnBase Installer Certification.
  • Desired Hyland OnBase Workflow Certification.
  • Desired ReadSoft INVOICES Certification.
  • Desired Ephesoft Certification – Preferred
