Job Title:  Sales Utility Clerk

Position Objective

Position will be responsible for coordinating with the warehouse on freight data, shipments and daily support.  This position will also act as backup to Sales Support.

Essential Job Functions

  • Print and review freight reports for accuracy
  • Update the freight system daily
  • Review truck shipments and add freight cost to orders
  • Send pick tickets to Toronto warehouse and follow up with confirmation of shipments
  • Notify warehouse of incoming product
  • Input purchase orders into I515 system
  • Receive inventory into I515 system
  • Forward purchase orders to Accounts Payable for payment
  • Work with Brooks warehouse on incoming questions such as inventory issues, equipment not working, changing shipping on orders, tracking numbers, etc.
  • Work with each of the active warehouses and required duties for each
  • Resolve shipping issues for Sales Support such as re-direct, address changes, lost or delayed product, shipping quotes and transit times for shipments to dealers
  • Coordinate returns and service exchanges
  • Assist Sales Associate and Manager as required
  • Additional duties as needed

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Written, oral and listening communication skills must be at a level to effectively provide service to customers. 

Good problem solving and time management skills. 

Must be detail oriented and possess strong interpersonal skills to address issues that may arise. 

Data entry, Excel, Microsoft Word, required. 

Experience with freight and inventory helpful. 

IBM AS400/i-515 experience helpful.

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

Any combination of education and experience that would result in the prerequisite skill and knowledge to perform the duties as described. A typical example would be two years college and three years of customer service, freight and inventory administrative support experience.
