Position Objective

The Konica Minolta Business Innovation Center (BIC) located in Foster City, CA, near the heart of Silicon Valley, is one of 5 global BICs with the charter of accelerating transformational growth through customer focused innovation. We accomplish this by exploiting emerging IP / technologies and incubating new IP internally to augment the existing product / solution portfolio.

We’re looking for a seasoned leader and visionary who is (really) excited about the future of technology, who embodies the go-getter entrepreneurial mentality, who is passionate about building new businesses and driving impactful organizational change.

As an integral member of the Business Innovation team, the Healthcare Solutions Lead is a hands-on entrepreneurial individual, a U.S. healthcare Subject Matter Expert and proven leader who will build and execute strategies that align with the charter of the BIC.

Essential Job Functions

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert in the healthcare domains
  • Identify current and future priority objectives of the CXO in both the acute and ambulatory sub-segments
  • Define the gaps in the market that would meet these priority objectives
  • Drive customer driven innovation by leading customer discovery sessions at the CXO level and identify solutions that strategically align and address the customer pain points
  • Build and execute end-to-end growth strategies that are aligned to the BIC strategies
  • Develop, recommend and execute holistic solutions in the healthcare domain that drive sustainable, profitable revenue
  • Build and communicate a vision of the future to both internal and external constituents
  • Create financial modeling for new strategies and solutions
  • Own the activities from idea to commercialization
  • Lead and obtain customer pilot and early sales opportunities
  • Develop a strong partner ecosystem to support the healthcare activities
  • Identify and report on the industry trends
  • Submit and maintain yearly budgets
  • Create and participate in speaking engagements, white papers, industry analysis, and proof-of-concepts
  • Work with the Project Manager and Technical lead to maintain a highly interactive demo center
  • A complete 360 degree view of the U.S. healthcare market, with deep understandings of all the macro trends
  • A clear vision to the regulations and drivers of the changing landscape in healthcare
  • A start-up mindset with the ability to pivot and fail fast
  • Proven track record of identifying and developing unique solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead customer pilot, market testing and GTM plan execution
  • Experience developing and presenting clear and concise product briefings
  • Independent, self-starting and drive to get to successful outcomes
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications kills
  • Must have a proactive can-do attitude with a unique ability to lead by doing/example
  • Must be able to work effectively in a lean startup model with changing priorities.
  • Experience with strategic planning, process management and finance

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

  • Minimum of 10 years-experience in an innovation, entrepreneurial or product management role with demonstrated success in the U.S. healthcare market
  • Minimum of 5 years of business development at the CXO level within the U.S. healthcare market
  • B.S. in a Health Science or other equivalent fields.
  • Experience in medical imaging a plus
