Position Objective

Konica Minolta is transforming the world of work through designing the Workplace of the Future™.

It is not an independent, but a joint approach with partners who concur to our vision and wish to contribute to support a variety of work style in the highly digitized and connected society.


The key objectives of this position are to:


Find partners who have a cutting-edge products, services, or technology that aligns with Workplace Hub in terms of value added offerings for customers. Such services will be added to Konica Minolta’s Marketplace, connected to Workplace Hub, Konica Minolta’s innovative new IT platform.


Lead the collaboration with partners to adjust, enhance, or co-develop products and services from partners to enable it to be offered on Konica Minolta’s Marketplace.


Work with Konica Minolta’s internal functions across the world such as R&D, GTM, Product Planning, Regional sales companies etc, and manage the process from the productization to the internal approval process.


Manage the relationship with partners and grow the number of partners participating in Konica Minolta’s ecosystem through the Marketplace on Workplace Hub, and help grow the ecosystem.

Essential Job Functions
  • Search and find potential partners that have products, services, and technologies suitable to join Konica Minolta’s ecosystem.
  • Evaluate products, services, and technologies from potential partners and judge feasibility of the monetization on Konica Minolta’s Marketplace.
  • Develop concept of products and services
  • Articulate business model and justify business case
  • Manage and be responsible for the whole process for productization from idea development, proof of concept, getting approval for investment, build and market, and monetization.
  • Clarify product and service requirement and design Konica Minolta’s ecosystem product and service roadmap with related internal divisions such as Product Planning and GTM.
  • Consolidate ecosystem development activities and manage the progress and reporting
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
  • Background in business development in the IT industry
  • Direct experience in partnership management and alignment of alliances and product portfolio
  • Experience with international markets
  • High proficiency at project and program management
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA desired
  • Ten to fifteen years of leadership experience in strategic alliance management
