Position Objective

The objective of the Defensive Security Advisor (DSSA) is to develop and grow a profitable client base by educating and advising potential clients on All Covered defensive security offerings (Managed Services). They establish contact with prospects, identify new opportunities, and follow up on potential leads. The DSSA is the primary relationship liaison between All Covered and potential clients (from original contact to contract signature).

The DSSA must always engage potential clients in accordance with All Covered core values. The DSSA works closely with vendors to ensure each client’s individual needs are being adequately and consistently addressed. 

Essential Job Functions

• Accumulate new clients

• Pitch and educate clients on offered defensive services and products   

• Qualify Prospects 

• Identify opportunities 

• Client Satisfaction

• Propose and suggest additional services 

• Respond to new inbound request 

• Client profitability 

• Proposal generation 

• Contract negotiation 

• Attend and participate in industry events 

• Overall responsible for new client communications 

• Coordinate with vendors to generate proposals 

• Coordinate with vendors to implement products  

• Forecast revenue 

• Is viewed by the client as an IT resource and advisor 

• Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers

• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities 

• Strong business development, negotiation, and influencing skills 

• The ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to a wide audience, including those with limited or no technical knowledge.

• Solid commitment to sales and customer service with good initiative and follow-through

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills

• Ability to deal with changing priorities to complete tasks in a short period of time

• Must be able to learn new concepts, applications, and technologies quickly

• Excellent written, verbal, and formal presentation skills to all levels of management

• Must be able to conduct calls and face to face meetings with customers daily 

• Must be detail oriented and have strong planning skills 

• Must be self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction 

• Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills 

• Comfortable interacting at all levels within an organization

• Strong understanding of defensive services / products and the ability to communicate benefits to potential clients 

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

• BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

• Minimum of 3 years (five years preferred) of work experience in outside sales and technology consulting.
