Position Objective

In support of our ongoing growth and diversification, we are looking for an innovative and experienced Vice President of Professional Services to lead our Professional Services team focusing on pre-sales support and post-sale delivery across our services and solutions portfolio. This team will be both virtually and physically centralized to maximize efficiency. Service offering domains include, but not limited to, Managed IT Services, Telephony, Document Technology, Security and Workplace of the Future. In this critical role, you will be responsible for Professional Service business sustenance and growth. Ensure field sales resources are supported and proposals delivered according to internal operational level agreements.  Ensure client projects get delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest level of client satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Plan and manage the centralized (physical and virtual) professional services organization including headcount requirements, recruitment strategies, and organizational development. Hire, retain, and motivate the best and brightest employees.
  2. Develop a Professional Services and Project Management framework that provides consistent and effective policies, processes, systems, metrics, reporting, dashboards and data analysis.
  3. Analyze Professional Services and Project Management program metrics and trends to evaluate success of overall program.
  4. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our pre-sales and post-sales delivery methodology.
  5. Ensure consistent forecasting and delivery of Professional Services revenue.
  6. Responsible for meeting internal operational level agreement SLA targets for both pre-sales and post-sale support.
  7. Responsible for efficient management of processes, resources and tools.
  8. Manage customer escalations, working closely with Vendors and Product Management to resolving product related implementation issues.
  9. Build relationships with vendors, customer executives, and executive sponsors.
  10. Demonstrate thought leadership in Professional Services and Project Management best practices.
  11. Be a trusted advisor among internal and external stakeholders based on Program Management, product and solution knowledge.
  12. Build and nurture a deeply engaged and high-performing team of employees and external partners
  13. Collaborate closely with product and technology teams to influence product and service development
  14. Retain customers that utilize our professional services and identify opportunities to expand our scope of work

  • Demonstrated success in scaling and profitably growing a professional services business.
  • Demonstrated success driving organizational change and aligning teams to meet corporate and departmental objectives.
  • Demonstrated success as a seasoned manager with ability to hire, mentor, coach and develop a geographical dispersed high performing Professional Services team.
  • A results-driven leadership style, with the ability to problem-solve and engage the commitment of others in a fast-paced and passionate environment
  • Excellent client relationship management ability. Play a trusted advisor role to C level customer stakeholders.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple complex projects with competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Experienced in scoping and estimating project effort, documenting solutions in Statement of Work, and presenting the content to customers as well as a sound understanding of Project Management KPIs.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of management experience in a global enterprise solutions company, preferably in a matrix environment.
  • Bachelors of Science (BS) in a STEM related field
  • Master Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • ITIL 2011 Foundation
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Current Six Sigma Black Belt
