Job Title:  Manager, Benefits

Position Objective

The Manager, Benefits reports to the Director, Total Rewards and will be responsible for the daily activities of the benefits function in addition to the design, implementation and administration of KMBS’ benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Manager, Benefits ensures programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective.

Essential Job Functions

•    Analyzes, designs and administers employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, life & disability, leaves of absence and voluntary coverage with the goal of creating an attractive and competitive benefits program.

•    Manages vendor relationships and periodically analyzes market to identify opportunities for cost-savings and/or enhanced services.

•    Manages annual benefits open enrollment including project planning, participant communication, benefit system administration, and continuous improvement.

•    Ensures compliance with Federal and State laws, including, but not limited to Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

•    Collects data on industry standards/practices to determine competitive positioning of KMBS’ benefit programs.

•    Participates in due diligence and integration of acquisitions, as needed.

•    Manages and develops Benefit’s team members.

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent skills and experience.

•    6+ years of direct relevant experience.

•    Certified Benefits Professionals (CBP) preferred
