Position Objective

The Social Media Strategist role will report directly to the Digital Marketing Manager and will be responsible for maintaining our social media strategy and maintaining close relationships with advocates from all major social channels. The incumbent will need to stay ahead of the curve on emerging technologies and platforms and identifying new opportunities as they arise.

The ideal candidate must be results driven and proactive in their approach to successfully driving our brand through social media channels. This position will ensure daily postings are being executed and overall program goals are being met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide day-to-day execution and supervision of all social media campaigns, including but not limited to events, campaigns, product launches.
  • Drive strategies for paid campaigns across social channels. Lead and implement target campaigns across social platforms, with a goal of establishing cutting edge best practices in a constantly evolving media environment. 
  • Ensure consistency of execution across multiple networks.
  • Establish optimization plans based on performance of campaigns and provide measurement and performance insights.
  • Interface with Communications and Creative services to ensure brand and voice consistency.
  • Collaborate with Media planning and Search Marketing / SEO teams to leverage organic search activities.
  • Proactively offer key insights to improve programs and enhance results to ensure successes.
  • Research advocates and advocacy groups to penetrate or message through.
  • Conduct Research and create materials to support business development opportunities.
  • Identifies and solves situations that require additional actions, or escalates urgent matters promptly as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and directives
  • Employee Amplification and training on social platforms to ensure internal advocacy to promote Konica Minolta products and services
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned or required

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Experience representing a brand using social channels like LinkedIn Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
  • Passion for social media and community building online, including knowledge of social platforms and monitoring tools (Falcon io)
  • Superior written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to develop social media plans (paid and organic) to support multiple lines of business.
  • Ability and confidence to interact with all levels and executive management
  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (prior industry experience) or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years of dedicated digital/social experience at either an agency or business
