Position Objective

Advanced, top-level SSD support position for maintaining Konica Minolta’s (KM) bizhub vCare Device Relationship Management (DRM) and Service Systems.  Candidate will serve as technical lead for systems upkeep, SQL server, DB efficiency, version updates, patch support and overall system performance.   

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor, maintain Enterprise-wide vCare system performance, complete scheduled
  • system/software version updates, SQL server and database, and software related to ensure responsive, uninterrupted performance with focus of 100% uptime.
  • Serve as liaison between KM and Konica Minolta, Inc., Japan (KMI) Development team for technical escalations, support requests.
  • System-wide data retrieval, analysis for all KM Sales channel and KMI, Japan, parent company.
  • Assist vCare Support team with resolutions of system anomalies and coordinate integration of various, new features for use across all KM Sales channels.
  • Assist with internal/external vCare customer demands to optimize User experience and sustain system/service profitability.
  • Aid with implementing system related software updates, upgrades, and integrations with the KMBS IT department per established Corporate IT and security policies.
  • Provide support on a real-time basis to respective business units and technical/contact support teams, including after-hours and/or weekend on-call support as needed.
  • Perform sandbox test environment quality assurance testing of all software and system platform releases.
  • Participate in meetings with product planning and development teams to assist in product improvements and/or define specifications for future products.
  • Provide written documentation of all projects as well as written proposals (statements of work) to the development team.
  • Responsible for security testing with major third-party vendors to certify the solution worldwide for KM sales companies and customers.
  • 10% travel (includes international) is required.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Knowledge, abilities with SQL scripting
  • Experience working with Software Development Kits (SDK/ADK)
  • Cloud experience and/or Cloud certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • A strong foundation in networking security principles
  • Familiarity with capturing and analyzing data packets (Wireshark preferred)
  • Ability to handle and document multiple high profile projects professionally is a must
  • Strong written and verbal skills are a must to communicate effectively and directly with system users, authorized technical contacts and the research and development team.
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure, dynamic environment.

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

  • 3-5 years experience working with MS Windows and SQL 2012 / 2016 (MCSE preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
