Job Title:  Sr. Network and Security Engineer

Position Objective

Essential Job Functions

  • Architect, Develop and maintain the Linux or Windows or Cloud based applications with specific emphasis on Security or NW stack based approach that can work in cross platform adaptations
  • Design, develop and maintain/enhance new network technologies or existing network support of the Network application stack, evaluate new/existing network standards, technologies to adapt them for variety of platform solutions
  • Integrate third party product to product platform, develop security based modules for both Server and common client architecture
  • Resolve critical issues in a timely fashion by adapting effective application and kernel level debugging techniques
  • Achieve project goals within allotted schedules following agile based software engineering process
  • Monitor both onsite or off-shore engineer activities to adhere to the defined process while guiding/training junior engineers in the team.
  • Ability to work on different projects in parallel while delivering results.
  • Desire to learn and research new technologies.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Expertise in working with more than one Embedded Network (TCP/IP) Stacks and RTOS like VxWorks, Embedded Linux, ThreadX etc. Experience working with Linux network stack is highly desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and related data network protocols: knowledge of standard security technologies and advanced concepts focused on security or network stack protocols.
  • Exposure to NW and security protocols TCP, ARP, ICMP, BOOTP, DHCP, HTTP, SNMP, IPSEC, DNSSEC, 802.1x, IPv6 etc.
  • Ability to work with embedded controller boards, working knowledge of processors like ARM, PowerPC, MIPS etc., and deep understanding of RTOS network stack internals is desirable. Experience in developing low level network drivers is a plus.
  • Experience in development, debugging, and productizing of large C/C++ based software projects. Expert in C/C++ programming language and debugging skills especially related networking and hardware issues.
  • Excellent implementation skills and strong basics of structured software engineering.
  • Quick learner, selfmotivated leader and ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Motivated team player.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in development of .NET or .NET Core applications and deployment for enterprise level infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of peripheral technologies like Bluetooth, USB, Ethernet etc.
  • Familiarity with internals of Mobile OS like iOS, Android, Windows Mobile etc.

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

  • BSCS/BSCE with 8-10 yrs of experience or MSCS/MSCE with 6-8 yrs of relevant experience.
