Position Objective

Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a Proactive Support Engineer!


SymQuest Group, Inc. has an immediate opening in South Burlington, VT for an experienced Proactive Support Engineer to join our growing Support Services Team. In this position you will provide remote technical support for Microsoft-based business environments. You must be excited about technology, self-motivated, and enjoy serving others.


An ideal candidate will have real world experience in either a helpdesk or network administration position, with a good understanding of Windows workstation and server operating systems, application installation and troubleshooting, and Active Directory administration and management. Essential Job Functions
  • Network Administration tasks (tasks include Windows Patching, Antivirus maintenance, and managed backup) (75%)
  • Complete SafetyNet monitoring changes (20%)
  • Remote management platform maintenance (5%)
  • You should have skills or working knowledge in several of the following areas Workstation Operating Systems (Windows 7,8,10, Mac, Linux)
  • Network Operating Systems (Windows 2008/2012)
  • Understanding of Microsoft products, third party utilities, local and wide-area networks, hardware, and desktop operating systems
  • Must have inherent troubleshooting skills – the ability to isolate problems and their source quickly through logical deduction
  • Experience with remote management systems desirable
  • Industry certifications such as CCENT, N+, Security+, MCITP, MCSA desirable

  • Possess inherent troubleshooting skills
  • Desire to “do what it takes” to solve technical challenges
  • Practical, hands on technical experience is a must
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Demonstration of excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to clients and other employees of the organization via phone and in person
Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training
