Position Objective

The Federal Contract Manager reports to the Vice President Government Sales & Marketing and will be responsible for the management of all Federal contracts including over sight, negotiations, and related business development. With an emphasis on the GSA schedule management, preparation and contract administration to ensure proper contract formation with customers in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

Essential Job Functions

•    Oversee and manage the GSA schedules Program as well as other Federal contract vehicles.
•    Manage all elements of the GSA schedule including negotiations, GSA Advantage, IFF as well as working hand in hand with compliance elements
•    Manage and oversee any Teaming or Partner contracts and the management thereof, as well BPA’s
•    Work with 3rd party organizations i.e. leasing companies, other OEM for partnering relations
•    Interface with various internal business units, as needed to have a cohesive federal contracts program for both internal & external customers as well business development areas.
•    Analyze complex financial and business concepts and identify significant business issues, financial and legal risks and suggest viable alternatives during negotiation
•    Provide risk assessment of contract terms and issues and offer alternate approaches to mitigate risk, including alternate contractual language
•    Identify and elevate issues and risk exposure to executive management, marketing and sales teams
•    Manage the full post award contract process and conceptualize and make recommendations and facilitate team consensus to move forward during negotiations
•    Lead efforts to ensure key initiatives and strategies align with the priorities of Konica Minolta Business Solutions
•    Build strong internal and external networks, including relationships with business executive to facilitate deal closures.
•    Focus on joint problem-solving with cross functional teams and stakeholders

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

•    Knowledge & experience managing GSA Schedules as well as other Federal procurement methods
•    Broad knowledge and experience with all phases of Government contract negotiation and management.
•    FAR knowledge as well as other Federal procurement and or contracting, including protests , bid / RFP experience.
•    Detailed-oriented with superior reading comprehension skills related to accuracy and thoroughness
•    Excellent verbal/written communication skills
•    Ability to work collaboratively with teams and independently
•    Ability and confidence to interact with all levels and executive management
•    Strong organizational and time management skills required
•    Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
•    Highly proficient in Microsoft Office     

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree (prior industry experience) or equivalent work experience
