Position Objective

Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a Automation Engineer I


Reporting to the Manager of Services Automation, the Automation Engineer I is expected to have a very high level of knowledge and experience in a variety of technologies – and to collaborate with their team of highly skilled professionals.  This role is a highly visible position within the organization and will dictate how All Covered and Konica Minolta implements services for its own employees as well as customers.


The Automation Engineer I is responsible for:


  • Understanding of how their role will advance the objectives and mission of All Covered and Konica Minolta as a whole.
  • Ability to understand the importance of scale, security, portability and extensibility as it relates to implementation of services.
  • Keeping current on new products and advancements in the large ecosystem of products and services All Covered and Konica Minolta offer.
  • Development of processes, documents and training material relevant to their area of expertise.


The role is critical to support core business functions and services. Continuous improvement and a holistic approach are key qualities for the role.

Essential Job Functions
  • Team Member
  • Helps to refine the design and specifications for new services to support the business
  • Develops technical implementations based on these designs and specifications
  • Writes documentation for implementation and operational use
  • Develops training material for employees and/or customers related to various services under development
  • Participating in forward progress on monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals.
  • Engages or leverages other subject matter experts or areas of the organization when appropriate.
  • Upholds a strong ethic for systems management that leverages a holistic approach that considers the impact to the entire organization.
  • Drives toward solutions that support automation and self-service.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
  • Thirst for learning and mastering new technologies
  • Understanding of modern application architecture, multitenancy, federated identity and authentication, role based access control (RBAC), and cloud native architecture patterns.
  • Experience working on teams leveraging Agile development frameworks such as Scrum.
  • Strong initiative and passion for making a difference.
  • Strong business acumen and a drive toward business growth.
  • Discipline to work remotely and communicate clearly.


Mandatory demonstrable experience with:

  • C# ASP.Net Core 3.x
  • Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code
  • Entity Framework
  • SQL Server 2016+ /TSQL
  • PowerShell
  • Basic Windows / Linux server administration
  • Team Foundation Server

Optional experience which would differentiate a candidate:

  • JavaScript SPA (React Redux preferred)
  • Application Containerization (Docker / Kubernetes / Helm)
  • Federated Authentication (OIDC, OAuth, SAML, Azure AD, ADFS, Identity Server)
  • Azure messaging services (Io T Hub, EventHub, service Bus, etc.)
  • Event-sourcing patterns
  • NoSQL databases
  • Graph databases
  • AWS / Azure automation
Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in a progression of roles.
