Highlight Your Experience: Make a list of your main responsibilities for each job / internship. On your resume, highlight those duties that are most relevant to the job you are applying to.
Simplify: Utilize bullet points with 1-2 sentences each. Do not include paragraphs or first person prose. Use the same layout and style throughout, with a traditional, easy to read font.
Add Skills: Add a mix of technical skills (specific software programs or a foreign language proficiency) and soft skills (communication, problem solving or creativity).
Think about which skills match the job description best!
Research: Research the company prior to, become familiar with the values and mission statement. Research your interviewer on LinkedIn and take note of similar background and interests to yourself that you can use to build a connection during the interview.
Active Listening: Listen carefully and give yourself a moment before responding. If you are unsure of the question, feel free to ask another question for clarity.
Be Yourself!: Let your personality shine through. This may help you stand out during the interview process and give you an edge.
